Accessibility Statement
R.A.SH Tronics Ltd makes hand controls for drivers with disabilities, and we want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or other assistive technology.
Standard
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG 2.2 AA includes the WCAG 2.1 AA requirements referenced by the Israeli Standard SI 5568 (under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013) and by the European standard EN 301 549.
What we have done
- Every page and control can be used with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- A “Skip to content” link is the first thing keyboard users reach on every page.
- Text and controls meet AA colour-contrast requirements in both the light and the dark theme.
- Pages reflow without sideways scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, so they stay usable at up to 400% zoom, and text grows with your browser's text size.
- Headings, landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and the current page are marked up for screen readers.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- The slideshow on the home page has a pause button, stops while you point at it or move the keyboard into it, and does not move at all when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, error messages are tied to their field and announced as soon as they appear, and everything you typed is kept after an error.
- Links that open a new tab say so, and every button and link is at least 24 pixels or spaced well apart.
- Help is always in the same place: the Contact page is in the menu of every page.
- The blue accessibility button in the bottom corner of every page lets you enlarge the page, switch to high contrast, underline links, use a more readable font and stop animations. Your choices stay on this device only.
Known limitations
- The spam check on the contact form is Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party widget. If it blocks you, email or call us instead (details below).
- The picture of the Lift Controller App on the home page is a screenshot, so the logos and text inside it can't be enlarged or read out on their own. The app is described in the text next to it.
- Our Facebook and YouTube pages and the App Store and Google Play listings are run by those companies, not by us.
How it was checked
Automated WCAG 2.2 AA testing (axe) of every page in both themes, at desktop and phone width, plus manual checks of keyboard use (forwards and backwards), the slideshow controls, the accessibility button, target sizes, zoom and narrow screens, in a current version of Microsoft Edge.
